Saber Feedback Documentation

Website Settings

Each website will contain the feedback reports that were sent to it, and can have different settings. Non-admin users can also be set up so that they only have access to certain websites feedback and settings.

When creating or editing a website in Saber, you can give it a name and description, as well as set up Email Notification for new feedback.

You can also deactivate the website by unchecking the active checkbox. Deactivated websites cannot receive feedback, and will not count towards your account’s active website limit.

Hidden Elements

Using the hidden elements you can specify any elements on your website that you’d like to automatically be hidden in screenshots. You can use commas to separate different selectors.

Eg:

.home input[name="super_secret_pin"],img#logo

You can also add the class saber-screenshot-hidden to any elements in your page to hide them in screenshots.

To be notified by email when ever a new feedback report is submitted, check the Receive Email Notification checkbox on your website’s edit page, then fill in the Notify Email Address and Notify Email Subject fields:

Default Options

Website Settings

The default options section allows you to control the appearance of the feedback button, as well as choose the language of the feedback interface.

All these options can be overridden using Saber’s run-time options.

Language

This allows you to choose the language of the feedback interface, as well as the feedback button. If Automatically set label text based on language is checked, the feedback button will be labeled Feedback, and will be translated in to your chosen language. Eg: if you leave this checkbox checked, and set the language to French, the feedback button will be labeled Remarque.

Label Text

If you uncheck Automatically set label text based on language, you will be able to specify a custom feedback label text using this text box.

Style

The style can be either Label or Tab. The Label style puts the feedback button on the side of the screen, where as the Tab style puts it on the bottom.

Position

This allows you to choose whether the feedback button is attached to the left or right side of the screen.

Background Color

Using the color picker, or by entering a valid hexadecimal value, you can specify the background color of the feedback button here.

Text Color

Using the color picker, or by entering a valid hexadecimal value, you can specify the text color of the feedback button here.

Hide Feedback Button

If you check this, Saber will load as normal, but the feedback button will not be displayed. This allows you to trigger feedback using the Javascript API’s Open method.
